One of the most respected intensive English programs in the USA. Provides linguistic, academic, and cultural programming and support for international students, professionals, and general language learners.


Student Recruitment:

  • Planned major recruitment events in China (2014-2015) which contributed to significant increases in conditionally admitted students at ELI in Fall 2015 (undergraduate: +49.5%; graduate: +140%)
  • Contributed to a three-fold increase in Venezuelan student enrollment (2013-2014) through the establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with agents and sponsors
  • Through frequent travel and consistent recruitment efforts in Brazil, contributed to an increase in Brazilian student enrollment at the ELI by approximately 36% in 2013
  • Developed strong and fruitful relationships with overseas recruitment agents and with representatives of sponsoring organizations
  • Increased traffic to ELI’s Facebook page, resulting in over 10K followers


Web design, online marketing, and technology:

  • Redesigned the ELI website (, implementing a content management system (WordPress) and a “responsive” design, which resulted in user-friendly navigation and a design that is easily accessible across device types
  • Designed, created, and launched specialized websites for current students and for students with dependents in the USA
  • Designed, created, and launched a website that is used specifically for overseas recruitment agents, which contains resources to facilitate their ability to recruit for ELI programs (
  • Launched an e-newsletter for agency partners to keep them apprised of ELI activities/news
  • Implemented the use of email marketing service (MailChimp) to manage/provide metrics for email campaigns
  • Worked with a third-party vendor to create an online e-brochure


Process improvements:

Successfully spearheaded many process improvements, including:

  • Converted program applications from paper to an online version, improving processing time and quality while also enabling us to collect basic reporting data and metrics
  • Instituted/supervised the maintenance of paperless student records
  • Created a system of simple online forms to facilitate the handling of student requests, improving quality of service and response time across ELI departments
  • Converted the agent contract management system to an electronic structure, improving the speed of service for payments and contract renewals
  • Implemented the use of an online system for saving notes of student advising meetings, enabling multiple advisors across departments to keep abreast of previous student contact
  • Updated method for planning and managing logistics for recruitment travel and events
  • Implemented use of project management software (WunderList) to better oversee projects with team members in multiple locations


Admissions and Student Services:

  • Receives consistently high scores from students on program evaluations for quality of service
  • Redesigned “ELI Welcome Package” (i.e., admissions package sent to new students with I-20 Form), making it a more useful resource with easier-to-follow instructions
  • Spearheaded project to convert ELI’s weekly newsletter from paper to an e-newsletter format, making it more accessible to students, teachers, homestay families, etc.
  • Implemented translated application forms via (a third-party vendor); the ELI’s “Apply Now” web page is often used by as a “best practice” in admissions
  • Redesigned the housing assignment and communication process, resulting in more organized service to new/continuing students and agents
